Wi-Fi Optimization: Relocate your Wireless Router for Optimum Reception Across the Home or Office
For existing Wi-Fi users, Plaster Networks powerline Ethernet adapters provide a complementary technology for optimizing the performance and reach of a home Wi-Fi network.
In many homes, the Wi-Fi access point is located next to the cable or DSL modem. This arrangement provides a convenient way for connecting the modem and the access point using a standard Ethernet cable; however, the arrangement may not provide the optimal location for extending the wireless signal across your entire home. For instance, if the modem is located at one end of the house, you may experience spotty wireless performance in rooms at the other end.
By using the Plaster Networks adapters in conjunction with Wi-Fi, you can quickly and easily relocate your access point to a more central location in the house (and away from the modem). You do not need to install special network cabling between the modem and the access point, because Plaster Networks uses the existing wiring in your home. Simply plug in an adapter near your modem, with a second adapter where you want to relocate the access point; connect the Ethernet cables to each adapter; and you're done!
Compared to other powerline Ethernet solutions, Plaster Networks provides added processing capabilities that improve the performance and reliability of home networks. Plaster Networks Intelligent Repeating and advanced signal processing increase network performance, even for the most challenging power circuits.
The Plaster Networks Service automatically diagnoses potential problems and provides specific recommendations to optimize the powerline network. The Service applies sophisticated signal analysis across the powerline network to identify underperforming connections. By adjusting the network configuration and parameters, and by isolating interfering powerline signals, Plaster Networks can significantly improve both the performance and reliability of the powerline network across the household.
